Hi all

After the struggles of the past 2 seasons – 2019/20 season null and voided and the stop/start of season 20/21, I just wanted to say how proud I and the management team which is led by our extra ordinary secretary Gavin Logan are in what we have achieved.

After all the stops and starts of the 20/21 season we eventually got the green light to finish the season. We had a 12 week window to draw the season to a close and while all other leagues were once again null and voiding their season we, the management team of the BDJFL, got together to make sure that this wasn’t going to happen to us. The fact that we managed to play the league season to a close and also complete a cup competition is down not to just the management team but to all the coaches, players and everyone involved in your clubs which includes parents/carers and for this I would like to say a big thankyou to everyone for making this happen.

To see the smiles on the kids and their parents faces when we did the presentations at pitchside made it all worthwhile.

Moving forward I am really looking forward to the upcoming season and hope that it can be as successful as this one.

The BDJFL is still in its infancy and is growing in strength. Once again this is down to a great management team and the cooperation of the clubs involved and hopefully this will continue.

I finish with wishing all teams competing in the league good luck for the season.
